High School Environmental Summit in Summer 2014

Two leading organizations, the Center for the Environment at Catawba College and Rocky Mountain Institute, are partnering to provide an opportunity for young environmental leaders to learn, create, share, interact, grow, connect, and build relationships. Students may choose an area of focus such as music, writing, history, or science and will learn how to use collaboration, whole-systems thinking, and sustainability in their focus areas. Students will work with world leaders in the environmental field honing their leadership skills and collaborating to come up with solutions to real-world environmental issues.

Old Salem- Historic Egg Dyes

Join us THIS SATURDAY at Old Salem~

Kick off Easter week with a “drop-in” egg-dyeing class!

Attendees will have the opportunity to dye their own Easter Eggs using historic dyes.
Classes take place at 11:00am, 1:00pm and 3:00pm, and will last approximately 30 minutes.

The cost of the class is $5 per person (collected at the door).

Classes are first come, first served and are limited to 20 people per time slot.

Children must be at least 6 years old to participate in the class, and everyone who is admitted to the class must pay the $5 entry fee.
