Homeschool Q & A
You are invited to attend a FREE informational meeting. Monday, August 29, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the White Deer Park, Pine Shelter, on Buffaloe Road in Garner, NC 27529.
New homeschoolers can ask questions and meet some friends.
Seasoned homeschoolers will be available to talk about their curriculum and answer your questions. Flyers will be available with information about homeschool groups, websites and lots of great information about homeschooling in Wake County.
Help Needed
Experienced homeschoolers are still needed to attend and help by showing curriculum and talking about their homeschool’s style and methods. Veteran homeschoolers who would like to share about their experiences and/or about their curriculum will be assigned a table so you can display your books and items that you want to share about.
If you have been homeschooling for a couple of years and have something you want to share with others, you are welcome to do so.
If you want to get information about helping with this event, please EMAIL Kim Wayman.
No Homeschooler Left Behind
This is an open event. Home educators with all learning styles are welcome; unschoolers, eclectic, secular, christian and everything in between.
Kids will play while parents help and support each other.
Please register at the Eventbrite Link HERE.
You do not need to print a ticket and registration isn’t necessary, this is simply to get a general headcount for planning purposes.
Please feel free to spread the word – bring your friends. The more the better.
Visit the LINK to see directions to the park, and to let Kim know you will be attending.
EMAIL her if you are interested in helping, or have questions about the event.
I am interested in homeschooling my 4th Grader but do not know where to start.

Hi Annette – start by visiting the NCDNPE website and filing your Notice of Intent to Homeschool with them. They will email you back & then you can withdraw your student from the school where they attend now. If you want to do some planning before you file the NOI, check out the blog’s pages on how to homeschool (Menu is at the top of the pages) and visit some links to find curriculum too.
